membershipYemen, a least-developed country (LDC), joined the WTO in June 2014, becoming the organization’s 160th member. Seychelles’ accession package was approved in December 2014, paving the way for it to become the WTO’s newest member in April 2015 (see pages 24-25). The WTO now accounts for 98 per cent of global trade, compared with 91 per cent in 1995 when the WTO was established.
